Charge 2,4V batteries with 5V power supply and without any protections (overcurrent, overcharge, ...) all placed on wood surface. Good "how to get your house on fire" tutorial :D

It seems safer to leave the AC adapter in it's original casing and strip the wire. Nice use of the broken remote as a battery holder, though. :)

you can only connect charges wires to battery holder.. and it will be enough.

Apart from a potential fire hazard this charger will dramatically decrease the life span of the batteries. You can't use the constant (and HIGH) voltage for the whole charging cycle. It's OK initially while the battery is "empty". But when it approaches the full charge the voltage (actually the current) has to be regulated down. When the battery is fully charged the charging current has to be reduced to a "trickle", eg Capacity(measured mAh) divided by 300 (measured in mA). Any more and the battery gets damaged.

Hi i have a question, i made one myself but i am worried about overcharge. is there already overcharge protection in the adapter or is there a risk for overcharge with this project? i am not criticizing i would honestly like to know. Thanks :)
